Before working on the machine, make sure that all power sources are physically
disconnected.
z
Keep the working area and the area around the machine clean and tidy; the
following are not allowed in the vicinity of the machine: grease, oil, water and any
materials which may form obstacles or hazards.
z
Install a circuit breaker equipped with a thermal cut-out switch upstream of the
electrical power line to protect the cabling from shorts and overloads. For the
specification of the circuit breaker, refer to the wiring diagrams provided by the
Manufacturer along with this Manual.
z
Provide adequate fire equipment in the working area, as specified by the Fire
Service.
z
Check the wear of all electrical cabling.
z
Replace any damaged cables.
z
Use adequately dimensioned cables as specified. For the specification of the
cables, refer to the wiring diagrams provided by the Manufacturer along with this
Manual.
z
Check that all protections, guards and safety equipment are in place and fully
operational.
z
Restore and re-arm all protections and safety equipment immediately after the
reason for their temporary removal has been resolved.
z
Notify your supervisor in case of irregularity.
