FVS-1000 MMP1
3-4-2. Replacing the I Sprocket, C Sprocket
and F Guide Roller
This section describes the replacement procedures of the I
sprocket, C sprocket and F guide roller. As for the replace-
ment procedures of the sprocket, describes the C sprocket
(T side) replacement procedures in this section, but the C
sprocket (S side) and I sprockets (S side and T side) can be
replaced in the same way.
Note
The procedure of the sprocket height check (adjustment)
differs according to the serial number of the unit.
For the FVS-1000 of the following serial numbers, be
careful not to perform the sprocket height check (adjust-
ment) described in this section.
Instead, attach new sprockets by using the SP spacers
inserted before replacing the sprocket.
Applicable serial numbers: 10001, 10002, 10003, 10005,
10201, 10301, 10401, 10402, 10403
Tools

Preparation
Turn off the AC power supply which supplies the power to
the FVS-1000.
n
To prevent an electric shock, be sure to turn off the power
of the AC power supply which supplies the power to the
FVS-1000 before removing.
Removal
1. Removing the F guide roller
(1) Remove the F-GR flange using the flatblade screw-
driver (middle).
n
The height of the F-GR flange has been adjusted.
Do not turn the setscrew.
(2) Remove the sprocket. (Refer to next step.)
(3) Remove the F guide roller from the guide shaft.
n
At this time, bearing, spacer and compression spring
are removed together. Be careful not to lose them.
2. Removing the sprocket
(1) Remove the motor GND plug on the sprocket.
(2) Remove the washer CAP.
(3) Loosen the two setscrews on the side of the sprocket
fully, and remove the sprocket.
n
The spacer for the height adjustment is installed between
the sprocket and motor. Be careful not to lose it.
Installation
3. Installing the sprocket
(1) Install the sprocket to the motor shaft so that the
largest diameter of the receiving side is positioned up
side and the setscrews are aligned with the D cut
portions of the motor shaft.
n
When the spacers for adjusting height are removed, be
sure to put the spacers to the motor shaft.
(2) Tighten the two setscrews.
(3) Install the motor GND plug.
