3-2-4. Cleaning the PT Roller

Washing with water

Removal/Reinstallation

1.

Remove the PT rollers from the holder roller assem-

bly.

2.

Wash the PT rollers with water.

3.

Install the PT rollers to the holder roller assembly, and

push it in until it hits the roller flange.

After washing with water, dry completely and make sure

that there is not water remaining, and install.

When installing, do not touch the external circumference

(adhesive side).

When replacing the PT roller, remove one O-ring inside of

a new PT roller first and install it.

Cleaning with adhesive tape

Removal/Reinstallation

1.

Remove the whole PTR retainer assembly with the PT

rollers installed.

2.

Roll the PT rollers on the adhesive tape as shown in

the figure.

3.

Align the hole of the PTR retainer assembly and the

pin position of the PTR rotor assembly.

4.

Push in the PTR retainer assembly until the metal plate

of the PTR retainer assembly touches the PTR retainer

shaft assembly.
