LCD Assembly Installation
If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when
performing the following steps.
Tools needed to perform the following steps:

Pry Tool
NOTE! Whenever the phrase “pry tool” is used, a nylon pointer, an orangewood stick, or a front opening
tool may be used, depending on the user’s preference.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Orient the LCD assembly so that the small display is
toward you and main flex film connector is below
the small display window.
2.
Determine wether a piece of display tape is installed
over a portion of the LCD assembly’s left edge. If a
piece of display tape is not installed:
a.
Obtain a display tape and position it on the
surface shown so that the upper narrow edge of
the display tape is adjacent to the bottom of the
upper series of notches in the LCD assembly’s
circuit board.
b.
Apply pressure to the portion of the tape that was
just placed.
c.
Rotate the unattached portion of the display tape
down on to the LCD assembly’s circuit board
and apply pressure to the tape.
