SEMC Icon Replacement – If Damaged
The SEMC icon located on the outer flip cover cannot be removed without damaging the cover
to which it is mounted. Therefore, unless the icon is missing, the outer flip cover must be
replaced if the SEMC icon requires replacing. To remove the outer flip cover, perform sections
3.1.1 – 3.1.2 of the flip disassembly. To install a new outer flip cover, perform sections 3.2.2 -
3.2.3 of the flip reassembly.

NOTE! A “ * ” beside a tool listed above indicates that the tool is not specifically called out in the
following instructions, but an operator may find it helpful to use that tool when performing
some steps of the following procedure.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Remove the backing from a new SEMC icon and
place the icon in its cavity in the outer flip cover.
NOTE! Make sure to align the peg on the icon with
the corresponding hole in the icon cavity.
2.
Apply gentle pressure to the icon to ensure a good
adhesive bond to the outer flip cover.
