Antenna Assembly Installation
If this part is being replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when the
following steps are being performed. Whenever the antenna assembly is being replaced, a
new rear
speaker assembly and a new rear speaker cloth must be installed before installing the new antenna
assembly. Refer to the “Rear Speaker Installation” section and the “Rear Speaker Cloth
Installation” section for instructions on how to install these components on the antenna assembly.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Orient the antenna assembly so that the side of the
antenna assembly where the antenna contact pads are
located is toward you.
2.
Align the “U” shaped opening in the antenna
assembly with the “U” shaped opening in the outer
base cover. Also align the two round holes in the
antenna assembly with the two screw bosses
extending up from the inner surface of the outer base
cover.
NOTE! When installing the antenna assembly, be
careful not to contaminate the antenna
contacts pads or the speaker contact pads.
3.
Insert the antenna assembly into the outer base cover
and gently press the antenna assembly into place.

Perform sections 2.2.3 - 2.2.5 the Base Reassembly procedure.
