Rear Speaker Cloth Removal

Perform sections 2.1.1 - 2.1.3 of the Base Disassembly Procedure

Perform the Antenna Assembly Removal Procedure
Tools needed to perform the following steps:

Style 2A ESD tweezers
NOTE! A “ * ” beside a tool listed above indicates that the tool is not specifically called out in the
following instructions, but an operator may find it helpful to use that tool when performing some
steps of the following procedure.
NOTE!
The phrase “pry tool” indicates that a nylon pointer, an orangewood stick, or a front opening tool
may be used during this procedure depending on the user’s preference.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Orient the antenna assembly so that the rear speaker
is toward you and the antenna loop is to the top.
2.
To reduce the risk of damaging the rear speaker’s
flex film when removing the rear speaker cloth, start
by peeling up the top right corner of the rear speaker
cloth.
