6.6 Connecting a demand response enabling device (DRED)
Standard AS/NZS 4777.2 calls for the provision of a suitable interface for connecting a de-
mand response enabling device (
DRED ). With demand response mode 0 (DRM0), the stor-
age system can be forced to disconnect from the mains by connecting pins 5 and 6. A pos-
sible cable break in the
DRED circuit also causes the storage system to disconnect from
the mains.
• The central unit of the storage system has a socket for connecting the DRED.

Guide the cable from the DRED into the storage system interior. To do so, use on the
four openings (diameter: 27.8 mm) in the top section of the mounting frame (see Seal-
ing the openings [P. 26]) and use a cable entry point that is appropriate for the protec-
tion rating of the storage system.

Connect the DRED cable to the central unit ( DRM0 ).
Affixing the sticker
A DRM0 sticker is included in the scope of delivery for Australia.

Affix the DRM0 sticker to the front of the power module. The area to the left of the
touch guard, where there are several stickers already, is suitable for this.
Activating DRM0 in the commissioning assistant
The DRM0 function must also be activated in the CA once the DRED is con-
nected. If the function is activated without a DRED being connected, this may
cause the storage system to malfunction due to the integrated cable break
check.
6.7 Connecting the mains cable

Ensure that the mains line and signal line connected to the storage system
do not exceed a maximum length of
30 m .
• The mains cable is connected to the central unit of the storage system.

Select the mains cable based on the specification (see Additional parts and tools re-
quired [P. 20]).

Connect the individual wires (N, L, PE) of the mains cable as labelled on the central unit
(
AC ).
