When carrying out any work on the machine, observe the general safety instructions
(Page 13) and the specifications contained in EN 50110‑1 regarding safe operation of electrical
equipment.

Safety instructions relating to the electrical connection
NOTICE
Connected parts can loosen
If you use fixing elements made from the wrong material or apply the wrong tightening torque,
this could impair current transfer or cause connecting parts to become loose. This could result
in material damage to the machine or even in total failure, which could in turn lead indirectly
to material damage to the system.
● Tighten the screwed connections to the specified tightening torques.
● Observe any specifications regarding the materials from which fixing elements must be
made.
● When performing servicing, check the fastenings.

NOTICE
Electrostatically sensitive devices
The DRIVE-CLiQ interface contains components that are susceptible to electrostatic
charging. Touching connections with electrostatically charged hands or tools can cause
malfunctions.
Maintain the ESD protective measures (Page 18) as well as the five safety rules (Page 13).
