Notes on the Table 10-1:
c
Program Track: This setting is used in computing the program track for the antenna.
d
3-Axes Motion: This setting is used in computing the antenna tracking sequence with all three axes
(azimuth, elevation, and cross-level) used in the tracking solution.
e
Conscan Autotrack: This setting is used by Conscan autotracking
.
cl.cs.start
x
degrees
Conscan parameter: antenna
elevation where cross-level
corrections are used in place of
azimuth corrections.
constants
x
x
x
Individual values for different
types of antennas. See "Constants
Settings" below.
The next four settings control how the two-axis tracking sequence (azimuth, elevation) is converted into a three-
axis tracking sequence (azimuth, elevation, cross-level). There are three different methods available to adjust the
tracking on the maximum elevation of the pass and these three settings.
No cross-level motion during the pass. Cross-level beam remains fixed at 90
°
(horizontal). This method will be
used if the maximum pass elevation is less than
cl.el.min
.
The cross-level beam is moved during the pass. This method will be used if the maximum pass elevation is in
the range [
cl.el.min
,
cl.el.max
}.
The cross-level beam is fixed at a non-horizontal position and the antenna elevation motion varies from 0
°
to
180
°
. This method will be used if the maximum pass elevation is greater than
cl.el.max
.
cl.el.min
x
degrees
Minimum elevation that cross-
level motion is involved in the
tracking solution. Example value:
64. Use a value of 90 if cross-level
torque error occurs.
cl.el.max
x
degrees
Maximum elevation during a
pass for which the cross-level
beam will be moved. For a 1.5m
antenna, this value is fixed at 90.
cl.el.start
x
fraction
Cross-level beam moves when
antenna elevation >

maximum pass elevation.
Example value: 0.65
cl.mag
x
degrees
Absolute value of the range of
motion of the cross-level beam.
Example value: 15
The cross-level beam will move in
the range (90 - 15)
°
to
(90 + 15)
°
.
