10.3.7 shipheading
Sets the initial orientation of the antenna on board ship, especially when the ship is docked.
Format:
shipheading unit heading
shipheading unit heading retry
Description:
shipheading defines the current orientation of the specified shiphboard antenna. The heading value
entered is the current ship heading.
If the retry option is selected, the function will continue to retry the antenna until the ship heading can
be loaded. If the antenna is not powered on or has not completed initialization, the function will wait.
Parameters:
unit
The telemetry chain whose antenna is to be set.
heading
The current ship heading, in degrees, from true north. Range: [0.0,360.0].
Examples:
[1]% shipheading 1 27.5
(Sets the shipheading for the antenna on chain 1 to 27.5 degrees.)
Notes:
This command is not valid for a land-only antenna that does not have a shipheading command.
This command is optional for the following antenna types:
• Fixed system (land-based) "[nav-1]nav.type:fixed"
• Shipboard system, NMEA-supplied shipheadings
"[nav-1]nav.type:nmea"
