10.3.3 antenna
Antenna tracking diagnostic command.
Format:
antenna unit pass_number satellite telemetry start_date start_time duration
{now}
Description:
antenna is a higher-level diagnostic command that tests the following components of the antenna
subsystem: orbital elements still valid, earth location calculations, site location, antenna configuration
files, antenna controller, antenna controller communications, antenna motors, and antenna position.
The commands are sent to the antenna in a real time sequence. The sequence can be run when the
specified starting date and time are reached, or can be run "now". The function trackeye is used to
monitor the progress of the antenna. This command does not store any data on the pass disk. To re-track
a pass recently received, use lspass to display the starting date, time, and duration for the pass you want
to track.
Example:
% antenna 4 2 noaa-14 hrpt 2003/3/28 12:20:0 12:0 now
Note:
This command cannot be used a second time while this program is already tracking a satellite with the
same antenna unit (chain).
