12. Adjust the tension of the azimuth spool drive belt (loosen, adjust tension, tighten).
13. Hook the azimuth pot drive belt over the reduction stack.
14. Loosely tighten the two screws (item 26 of drawing 70909017, page 50) holding the az pot bracket to the
az motor train.
15. Adjust the belt tension of the az pot drive belt (step 9 of section 8.4.25).
16. Turn on power to the antenna.
B. Azimuth Motor Drive Belt [12574523]
1. Perform steps 1-5 for the az spool drive belt [12574521] (Procedure A, on the previous page).
2. Loosen the four screws (item 26 of drawing 70909017, page 50) that hold the azimuth motor to the
motor train bracket.
3. Slip the azimuth motor belt off the azimuth motor sprocket and the reduction stack.
4. Place a new azimuth motor belt on the reduction stack and on the azimuth motor sprocket.
5. Loosely tighten the four screws that hold the azimuth motor to the motor train bracket.
6. Perform steps 10 - 13 for the az spool drive belt [12574521] above.
7. Adjust the tension of the azimuth motor drive belt using the two screws not attached to the azimuth
pot bracket (loosen, adjust tension, tighten the two screws).
8. Adjust the belt tension of the az pot drive belt (step 9 of section 8.4.25).
9. Turn on power to the antenna.
C. 6003AL: Azimuth Spool Drive Belt [12574525] (see Figure 8-21, page 151)
1. Turn off power to the antenna.
2. Loosen the four screws (item 32 of drawing 70909049, page 47, that hold the motor to its bracket. Slide
the motor towards the azimuth spool.
3. Unhook the azimuth spool drive belt
4. Above the drive belt on the azimuth spool are the two braided cables and the RF coax cable (see
Figure 8-21, page 151). Cut the tie-wraps from the outlet of the spool up to the braid or coax connector.
5. Loop the azimuth spool drive belt over these loose wires and remove the old belt.
