Vibration
Excessive vibrations in the room should be avoided in order for the settings of
the sensitive cameras to remain unchanged.
Temperature
The average ambient temperature of the room in which the scanner is located
should be between 18C and 30C (64F-86F). The maximum ambient
temperature for a non-working scanner must be between 5C and 40C (41F-
104F).
Humidity
The humidity in the room where the scanner is located should never reach the
point of condensation.
Unpacking
The CF Series Scanner comes on a wooden skid, surrounded by a corrugated
box. Immediately upon receipt, check for shipping damage and report any
found to the shipper and Scangraphics, Inc. When unpacking, be sure no
materials are discarded until you have accounted for the following contents of
the box:
•
CF Series Scanner
•
Power cord
•
CF Series Scanner Operations Manual
•
Rear document catch
If a display monitor is included, a separate carton will include the monitor and
cable.
Connections
Connect the enclosed A.C. power cord to the scanner and to the wall outlet.
Be sure that the voltage of the outlet matches the operating voltage of the
scanner. If there are any questions about this, have a trained technician or
electrician check the line voltage to insure that it is the proper level for the
unit (typically, 110 V).
WARNING:
The 110 V model is not protected if it is connected to a 220 V
outlet; major damage will result from this improper connection.
