How to Use This Guide
Purpose and Scope
The purpose of this manual is to provide the user of the CF Series Scanner
(Firmware Rev. S27x or higher) with an overview of the scanner, its
specifications, its user interface.
This manual is divided into three sections (two chapters and one appendix) as
follows:
•
Chapter 1 is an overview of the scanner, listing features and
specifications.
•
Chapter 2 explains how to operate the scanner using an
optional
keypad
. The user of the scanner need not have any in-depth
knowledge of computers or scanning technology. The keypad
interface provided for the scanner makes it easy for anyone to use.
•
Appendix A covers site selection, unpacking, and set-up of the
scanner.
We recommend that you read the entire manual before attempting regular
production, since some functions affect the results of other functions.
Conventions Used in This Guide
Keypad keys are shown in bold type. For example, the Scan key is shown as
Scan
and the Reverse key as
Reverse
.
