•
Exit
Press Opt to Exit selection mode without running the Autocalibration
process.
The following instructions explain how to run the calibration procedure.
1. Prepare the scanner for Autocalibration.
Before loading the calibration document, you should clean the scan
window and the scanner's white background with alcohol or a cleaning
agent safe for plastic materials. Allow scanner to warm up for 10
minutes.
2. Select the Autocalibration option.
Refer to the "Procedure for Setting Scanner Options" on page 2-20 for
step by step instructions.
3. Press A to start the calibration.
When you press A to begin the calibration process, appropriate prompts
will appear across the keypad display window. If the scanner has been
on for less than ten minutes, a software timer indicates the need for a
warm-up.
4. When so prompted, feed in a large, standard white document to do the
calibration.
During the scanner's calibration routine, the keypad display window
shows the calibration status.
Additional calibration procedures are described in the CF Series Scanner
Maintenance Manual; however, those are only to be performed by a
trained Scangraphics technician.
Reboot Scanner Option Choices
The Reboot Scanner Option allows you to reboot the scanner, without
turning the power off and on again. The keypad display alternately shows
the possible parameter values for this option: "A: PROCEED" and "Opt:
Exit."
