Searching the Instrument in the Network with 'Indicator Browser'
The address can be determined using the 'Indicator Browser' program (on the enclosed CD-ROM).
The ’IndicatorBrowser’ searches within the current
network ID, e.g. 169.254. and 172.24., on all available
network adaptors in the PC (several
possible/recommended, e.g. LAN global/LAN local)
Result:
List of all connected devices with status:
search??? – online - byebye – lost???
Click the button to open the ’standard’ web browser,
e.g. Microsoft InternetExplorer, directly with the
marked IP address.
Click the button
to re-start the network search run.
Waiting 2…3 minutes is essential!
Acoustic signal for each device that was found
’online’.
Click the button to localize the associated device.
Short-term visual response of the device:
Flashing background of the display.
If the browser window remains empty after a minimum waiting time, or if the expected device is not listed, the
network ID of the local PC must be checked and changed, if necessary (see Chapter 5.2.2.1)!
Note:
Only certain Sartorius devices are supported by the ’indicator browser’!
