Measuring Circuit Error Messages
The weighing electronics can generate error messages, which are output on the weight display.
Indication Error
Cause
E:Arith
Internal arithmetic overflow
-
Faulty calibration values
E:Overl
Input voltage is higher than Max + (x d)
-
To much weight on the scale
Measuring input open
-
Measuring cable is interrupted
Faulty setting
-
Cable break detection
E:NoEoc
Input signal is higher than the permissible
range of 36 mV.
No communication with ADC
(analogue-digital-converter).
-
Error in weighing electronic board.
-
Defective load cell.
-
Cable break.
E:Sense *
No sense voltage
-
Load cells not connected.
-
Sense line or supply line is interrupted.
-
Wrong polarity or sense voltage is low.
E:Invers
Negative input
-
Wrong polarity of load cell signal.
-
Wrong polarity of supply voltage.
* with Ex applications strictly see Chapter 5.5.3.
5.5.1.1
Testing the Measuring Circuit
A simple test with the load cells connected can be carried out with a multimeter
(not with external supply or intrinsically safe load cell interface):
Supply voltage
Sense voltage
Measuring voltage
12 V = ±0,8 V
(symmetrical to housing GND)
12 V = ±0,8 V
(symmetrical to housing GND)
0…12 mV = @ WZ with 1.0 mV/V
0…24 mV = @ WZ with 2.0 mV/V

Duplicate ID
(via VNC)
The IP address is already used. Two instrument with identic IP address.
E:HardE
Hardware error
No connection with the
weighing electronic board.
Supply voltage is low!
(via VNC)
Supply voltage too low -15 % Supply voltage is too low (
85 %).
E:BadDev*
-
Weighing electronic board has been changed after calibration.
-
Device is not calibrated.
* Only if CAL switch is closed.
