11. USE OF ANALOGUE TELEPHONE
Connecting a standard telephone to TIP-RING terminals enables the following activities (depending
on settings in the GSM GATE bookmark)
- making out dial calls
- receiving incoming calls
- voice signaling of the alarm and failure (required VSR-2)
- DTF control
11.1. Making and receiving calls
The module generates a typical telephone signal at the TIP-RING output (suitable voltage, ring tone
and ring signal). The telephone (or the input of the alarm switchboard center, telephone center)
shall be connected directly to this output.
After picking up the telephone „receiver” by a user, the module generates a permanent signal (tone)
and adapts a tone dialing. In order to choose a telephone number, there should be chosen tone
numbers form a telephone keyboard. The number may include special characters e.g. „#” „*”,
„+”=00.
A chosen number format has to be in accordance with the GSM network operator whose
SIM card is installed in the module.
The module dials a telephone number after 4s. from
entering the last figure. Waiting time for entering the number is equal to 60s. after „picking up the
receiver”. After this time there is generated a busyness singal.

Example 3- local telephone number dialing with a dialing code:

If the module detects an incoming call, it may switch on the ring tone at the TIR-RING output
(depending on settings in the OPTIONS AND GSM GATE bookmark). After „picking up the receiver”
by a user, the module compiles a voice connection. Connection time is not limited and lasts till the
moment when one side finished.
