Throttle VD
The throttle (15) has two functions:
▪ Speed reduction for the last 30 mm of travel.
▪ Temporal force build-up after sonotrode has set down on plastic part. See
illustrations in the quick guide under the machine table top.

The two functions mentioned above must be understood in combination with
the trigger force, the so-called trigger. The trigger function is based on the
permanent pressure difference measurement (DP), which measures the
pressure difference between the upper and lower side of the piston head.
When the trigger value set on the generator is reached, the ultrasound is
switched on.
The regulator pressure or system press is automatically shown on the ADG
display.
The throttle position is a function that must be entered separately (Informati-
on menu).
