2.4 Processor to Transceiver Interconnection Cable
The processor to transceiver interconnection cable is a multiconductor cable that
provides a power, signal, and control interface between the sonar processor and
the transceiver unit. The standard cable length is 20 meters. Longer cables (up to
150 meters) may be ordered from RESON and will require adjustments to the
hardware.
2.5 Sonar Array
The sonar array transmits acoustic energy then receives the returning signal,
pre-amplifies it, and sends it to the transceiver unit. There are two distinct parts:
the transmit array and the receive array
, arranged in a “T” configuration (see
section 2.5.2 Illustrations
). Each array has an integrated 15 meter cable for
connection to the transceiver unit.
2.5.1 Technical Specifications
The following tables provide information as to the technical specifications of the
sonar array:
