Sensor type:
This sensor is an energetic infrared-based reflection light sensor. The sensor does not
support the background suppression function but has a self-diagnosis function instead. This
sensor has a club-shaped measuring area, which reaches its max. range of approx. 50 mm
at a distance of about 100 mm.
Application area sensor type 1:
This sensor can be used for all "standard applications" for products with "clear" contours. It
is not suitable for detection of products with "unclear" contours, e.g. bags with flexible
shapes or products with inclined surfaces. Various print resolutions may also be a potential
cause of this. It is also not suitable for transparent, highly glossy of reflective objects.
Because of its self-diagnosis function, this sensor is particularly suitable for applications in a
dusty production environment, as excessive contamination is generally indicated early on in
the process.
