Network
Configuring Ethernet
The Ethernet interface is used to communicate with external control units (PC, SPS, SCADA
System, T&T System, etc.) via the TCP/IP protocol. For this purpose, the standard delivery scope
includes various software components on CD/DVD.
In this menu, you can choose between automatic and manual assignment of the IP address.
Checkmarking the field 'DHCP' activates the automatic assignment of the IP address. To do so, a
DHCP server has to be in the network to which the control device should be connected. The
then also uses the DHCP server to obtain information for the subnet mask, the
standard gateway and if available, the NTP server.

If the DHCP functionality is deactivated, the data has to be entered manually. If not gateway is used
in the network, the entry can be omitted here.
