6 CONTROLS
6.11
SINGLE WING UNIT DRIVE LEVER __________________________________
The control lever to select single wing cutting unit
rotation is situated on the steering tower in front of
the operator.
Position A allows the right hand unit to be selected.
Position B allows the left hand unit to be selected.
Position C is the normal position to operate all cutting
units.
With all the cutting units raised, lower the desired wing
cutting unit and select either position A or B with the
control lever. Engage cutting unit drive with mow foot
switch (B Fig.5).
When returning to normal mowing, raise the wing unit
to transport position and select position C with the
control lever.
NOTE: DO NOT operate the single wing cutting unit
control lever while the units are rotating.
6.12
BRAKE RELEASE VALVE (B) ______________________________________
The brake release valve is situated under the
operators platform and is accessible through the
right door. For normal working the lever should be in
the down position. To release the brakes the lever
should be moved to its uppermost position and the
steering wheel turned to the left to build up pressure.
This occurs almost immediately.
NOTE: The engine cannot be cranked with the lever
in its upper position, but the vehicle parking brake is
still effective in an emergency.
