While the Port WWNs are always unique, the Node WWNs can be set
according to the
Make the Node WWN
section as follows:
a
Selecting
Globally Unique but same for all ports
makes the Node
WWNs the same for all Fibre Channel ports.
b
Selecting
Equal to the Port WWNs for each port
makes the Node
WWNs equal to the Port WWNs.
3
Selecting The
Port Settings
page (see
table 17
for field descriptions)
allows you to set the AL_PA, Loop ID and link speed for each Fibre
Channel port connecting the DXi3500/DXi5500 system to the
customer SAN.
Caution:
If you are manually assigning the robot and tape
drives to your Ethernet and Fibre Channel ports, you
MUST assign the devices in numeric order starting
with L0 and continuing with L1, L2, L3 and so forth.
You MUST restart with L0 for each additional port.
Do NOT assign the devices out of order.
Note:
The DXi3500/DXi5500 system must be off-line to
configure the Fibre Channel options.
