SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a protocol that provides security and
privacy over the Internet by negotiating encryption keys before
transmitting data between a client and a server.
To establish a secure SSL connection, your DXi3500/DXi5500 system
must have an encryption key assigned to it by a Certification Authority in
the form of a certificate file, private key file, and pass phrase. Once you
install these components, you can establish a secure connection using the
SSL protocol. The Quantum DXi3500/DXi5500 system comes with a SSL
certificate; however, you can purchase other certificates and add them to
the DXi3500/DXi5500 SSL configuration.
