VTL State

The
VTL State
section is used to turn the VTL either offline or online.
To change the
VTL State
:

To turn the VTL online/offline, click the
Online
/
Offline
button.
The button text changes depending on the current state of the VTL.
Delete All Data
Warning:
THIS OPERATION WILL CAUSE ALL DATA TO BE
LOST ON THIS SYSTEM!

The
Delete All Data
section is used to delete all data from the DXi3500/
DXi5500 system. The delete all process will perform the following actions:
• Delete all NAS shares and their contents
• Delete all VTL cartridges (preserving the partition configuration)
• Delete all deduplicated data
Delete VTL Partition Configuration
Selecting the
Delete VTL Partition Configuration
checkbox will delete all
VTL partitions and create the Default partition.
To delete all date on the system:

Delete All Data

Warning:
DURING THIS OPERATION, THE WEB INTERFACE
WILL BE TEMPORARILY SHUT DOWN. DEPENDING
ON THE AMOUNT OF DATA ON THE SYSTEM, THE
OPERATION CAN TAKE SEVERAL MINUTES. THE
INTERFACE WILL BE RESTORED AFTER THE
PROCESS HAS COMPLETED.
Note:
When setting the DXi3500/DXi5500 offline, the media changer
will be unavailable.
Note:
The VTL must be offline to delete all data.
