• The screws and nuts installed on the bicycle must be checked for tight fit at re­
gular intervals (see maintenance plan) and may need to be tightened or re­tigh­
tened to the proper strength. Only this can ensure that the bicycle permanently
complies with the safety­technical requirements and works properly.
• If screw and nuts are tightened too far, they may break.
• If parts are marked with torque specifications, these must be complied with.
• The torque specifications for other screw connections do not apply to the ad­
justment screws at the gearshift and brake components.
