20.C. Touch Screen Care
Do not use sharp objects such as a pen, pencil, stylus or marker to make
contact with the touch screen. These may damage or leave a permanent mark
on the touch-sensitive LCD screen. Do not spill liquid on the screen.
To clean the GloMax
®
-Multi+ Detection System touch screen, turn off the
instrument. Use Kimwipes
®
dampened with 70% ethanol to gently and
cautiously clean the touch screen.
Screen contrast is preset to an optimized setting and is not adjustable.
20.D. Removing and Reinstalling the Microplate Sample Tray Cover
Note:
The Microplate Sample Tray Cover should be used only with 96-well
plates. For all other plate sizes the cover must be removed to prevent damage
to the instrument.
Pressure should not be applied to the Microplate Sample Tray Cover. If
pressure is inadvertently applied to the Microplate Sample Tray Cover, a
Break-Away Tab is in place and will snap to prevent damage to the Tray
assembly.

1. Press the “Door” button to extend the Microplate Sample Tray
Cover.
2. Using the Allen wrench provided, push on either of the crescent-shaped
tabs to disengage the Microplate Sample Tray Cover from the Tray
assembly (Figure 64).
3. With the Microplate Sample Tray Cover disengaged, gently pull up to
release it from the Tray assembly (Figure 65).
