Picture and sound are not synchronous during playback.
Please work through the following steps one-by-one in order. After each step,
check, by making a new recording, whether the problem has been solved:
1.
Make sure that playback takes place via either miroINSTANT Video or the
miroAVI cache—otherwise, synchronization cannot be guaranteed.
To ensure that audio playback takes place via the miroAVI cache, start the
media player (Start menu, commands programs, Accessories, Multimedia
and Media Player) and select the option miroAVI Cache under Devices.
So that the audio will be played via miroINSTANT Video, save your project
in Adobe Premiere 4.2LE and then, in the File menu, select the commands
Export and miroINSTANT Video. In Adobe Premiere 5.1, choose a Pinnacle
project template when creating a new project. In the window New Project
Preferences, the processing mode DC30 Editing Mode must be entered.
2.
When using Premiere 5.1, make sure that the loudspeaker symbol in the
INSTANT video window is not crossed out. For details, consult the
miroINSTANT video online help.
3.
Make certain that the sound is also really being output via the miroVIDEO
DC30 series and not via another sound card. Make certain that the audio
output is really connected to the miroVIDEO DC30 series. Make certain that
the miroVIDEO DC30 series is selected as preferred device in the Control
Panel (Start menu, Preferences, Multimedia; Audio tab).
4.
Use the one of the included miroVIDEO DC30 series project settings for
Premiere without modification. Always use the 44.1 kHz 16-bit stereo
format for audio recording and playback.
5.
Check whether the picture and audio are possibly already asynchronous in
the Adobe Premiere timeline, in other words, before playback. To do this,
look for a clear sound with a corresponding picture (such as the visible and
audible slamming of a door) and check whether the clear blow in the audio
waveform, which can also be heard through scrubbing, is exactly
synchronous with the corresponding picture.
If this is not the case, then either your original material is asynchronous or
you did not digitize it using the miroVIDEO DC30 series audio hardware.
The audio is not played back via the miroVIDEO DC30 series.
Please work through the following steps one-by-one in order. After each step,
check, by making a new recording, whether the problem has been solved:
1.
miroVIDEO DC30 series is not selected as the preferred audio output device.
Change this in the Control Panel (Start menu, Preferences command,
Multimedia; Audio tab, Option Preferred Device).
