Tests:
Safety or Performance Assurance test procedures which may consist of several steps.
Recommended Frequency
Perform the procedures as indicated in the suggested testing timetable. These timetable
recommendations do not supersede local requirements.

This table tells you when to perform specific tests. See “Carrying Out and Reporting Tests” on page 88
for test details.

Calibration
Once every two years, or as specified by local laws
(whichever comes first).
Tympanic Temperature Calibration Once a year. If the unit is dropped or damaged, check
it and calibrate it before further use. Or if the unit was
stored at less than -25ºC or above 55ºC.
Other Regular Tests
Visual Inspection
Before each use.
Recorder Maintenance
Once a year, or if the printout is degraded.
Testing Transducers and Patient

Once a year, or if you suspect the measurement is
incorrect.
