C. Modify Ventilator Alarm Settings
Modify the Low Inspiratory Pressure setting to match the one
shown below in Table 14.

Blending Operation
This procedure verifies that the Low Oxygen Flow alarm and the Low
Oxygen Inlet Pressure alarm are working properly. These alarms
apply to all circuit types. It assumes that you have attached the
test lung, verify the ventilator settings, and turned on the ventilator
power as described in the Initial Setup section.
Setup
A. Connect an external O
2
Monitor (in accordance with the
recommended manufacture’s guidelines) in-line with the patient
tube. Make sure the O
2
monitor is properly calibrated before
proceeding.
B. Connect the ventilator’s oxygen input port to a source of high
pressure O
2
(50 psi nominal). Turn on O
2
flow to the ventilator.
Ventilator Settings
Set the ventilator FiO
2
setting to 45%.
