Programming Site Data
The PIPE Sub-Menu
(cont.)
Note:
Tw is the time required for the transducer signal to travel
through the transducer and its cable. This time delay must be
subtracted from the transit times of the upstream and
downstream transducers to ensure an accurate measurement.
If a standard transducer is being used, the programming sequence
should be rejoined at this point.
The required pipe data may be obtained by measuring either the pipe
outside diameter (OD) or circumference at the transducer installation
site. Alternatively, the information may be obtained from tabulated
data for standard pipe sizes. A list of the available English and metric
units, as specified in the
GLOBL
sub-menu, and definitions for the
PIPE OD
prompt is given in Table 1-4 below.
IMPORTANT:
Because the units can not be independently chosen
for this parameter, the value must be entered in the
same units used for the pipe OD.
Chan 1 PIPE PROG
Enter the known pipe OD or
circumference and press
[F1]-
[F4]
to select the appropriate
units. Press
[ENT]
when done.
(The meter will only accept
values from 1/8 to 648 in.)
