Connection
and
Encapsulation
Type
This is the method your VDSL service provider
uses to transmit data between the Internet and
your computer. Most users use the default
PPPoE/PPPoA connection type. The setup
wizard
can
be
used
to
configure
a
PPPoE/PPPoA connection type. You may need
to specify one of the following connection types:
PPPoE LLC, PPPoA LLC and PPPoA VC-MUX.
Other available connections and encapsulation
combinations must be configured by using the
Web management interface. These include the
bridge mode (1483 Bridged IP LLC or 1483
Bridged IP VC-MUX), static IP (Bridged IP LLC,
1483 Bridged IP VC-MUX, 1483 Routed IP LLC,
1483 Routed IP VC-MUX or IPoA), etc.
Username
This is the user name used to log in to the
network of your VDSL service provider. It is
usually in the form of [email protected]. Your VDSL
service provider uses this to identify your
account.
