Menu
The atrial High-Rate stimulation rate can
be adjusted by using the
RATE
dial. This
means that the
RATE
dial defaults into a
HIGH-RATE
dial for adjustment of the
atrial High-Rate stimulation rate, as long
as the Atrial High-Rate Standby Menu is
present. This is indicated by a blinking
symbol
HI-
in front of the label
RATE
(together this forms
HI-RATE
) in the
upper display.
The atrial High-Rate stimulation rate can
be changed in 10 ppm increments be-
tween 70 ppm and 1000 ppm, as shown
in Table 30.

PACE 203H delivers atrial High-Rate
stimulation impulses upon pressing and
holding the softkey labeled
START (Atrium).
The pacemaker switches to the A00
mode and stimulates with the set atrial
High-Rate, showing the Atrial High-Rate
Running Menu (Table 31). To return to
the mode menu (Table 9 on page 35),
press the key

Warning
: There is a risk of causing
ventricular tachycardia during atrial High-
Rate stimulation. Continuous ECG-moni-
toring of the patient is therefore manda-
tory. A defibrillator should always be
available and in a ready-to-use state.
Note:
During atrial High-Rate stimula-
tion, PACE 203H switches temporarily
(as long as the
START (Atrium)
key is pressed) to A00 mode. To prevent
confusion, the upper display remains un-
changed and does not reflect the A00
mode (allowing the user to pre-set nor-
mal pacing parameters).
Note
: Within the Atrial High-Rate Stand-
by Menu, the pacemaker does not lock
the key pad automatically.
