counterclockwise rotation decreases the
parameter value.
Rotating a sensitivity dial clockwise in-
creases the sensitivity value, i.e. de-
crease the sensitivity. In contrast, coun-
terclockwise rotation decreases the sen-
sitivity value, i.e. increases the sensitivity
If a maximum or minimum value is
reached, further rotation of the dial is
disregarded.
Each parameter change is visualized on
the upper display, both as a number and
as a bar diagram
Any change of the parameters will be-
come effective after the next sensing or
stimulation event.
Several parameters are allowed to be
changed simultaneously.
If a parameter has no pacing function in
the mode selected, for example, A-
Sense in the VVI mode, the correspon-
ding section in the upper display is
blanked. If a dial belonging to parameter
without pacing function in the mode
selected is set, the respective previously
blanked section will be switched on. A
numeric value will be briefly displayed,
whereupon it will disappear in approxi-
mately two seconds.
9.8.1 Adjustment of Basic Rate
Rotating the
RATE
clockwise will in-
crease the basic rate in the range shown
in Table 12. The actual rate value and
the intensity bar diagram can be seen in
the upper display. The intensity bar dia-
gram enlarges from left to right with rate
increase.

In order to avoid unintentional settings of
high stimulation rates, the desire to in-
crease the stimulation rate from 150 ppm
(Table 13) and then from 180 ppm must
be confirmed.

higher than 150 ppm, the message “Rate

intention to increase the stimulation rate,
