to manually set a ramp function for atrial
High-Rate stimulation.
Note
: PACE 203H ignores any rotation
of the
HIGH-RATE
dial beyond the de-
fined minimum or maximum settings.
9.10.2 Ventricular Rapid Pacing
Standby
The Ventricular Rapid Pacing standby is
accessed by pressing the softkey la-
beled
Ventricular Rapid Pacing.
The Ventricular Rapid Pacing Standby
Menu appears as shown in Table 32.
The ventricular rapid pacing is now at
standby. The acoustic indicator is auto-
matically switched on temporarily, if it is
not already on.
Note
: Within the Ventricular Rapid Pac-
ing Standby Menu, the pacemaker con-
tinues to operate in the set mode.
Any previously selected ventricular rapid
pacing stimulation rate and the corre-
sponding beat-to-beat interval are dis-
played.
Note
: After turning on PACE 203H the
ventricular rapid pacing stimulation rate
is set to the default value 180 ppm if the
device had been powered off using the
softkey labeled
Off (no storage).
If the device had been powered off with
the softkey labeled
Stand-by (store data),
then it will restore the rapid ventricular
stimulation rate which was set before
powering off.

The ventricular rapid pacing stimulation
rate can be adjusted by using the
RATE
dial. This means that the
RATE
dial
defaults into a
HIGH-RATE
dial for
adjustment of the ventricular rapid
pacing rate as long as the Ventricular
Rapid Pacing Standby Menu is present.
This is indicated by a blinking symbol
HI-
in front of the label
RATE
(together this
forms
HI-RATE
) in the upper display.
The ventricular rapid pacing rate can be
changed in 2 ppm increments between
70 ppm and 220 ppm, as shown in Table
33.
