9.10 High-Rate / Overdrive
Stimulation
PACE 203H provides a function for atrial
High-Rate stimulation, also known as
atrial overdrive stimulation, or rapid atrial
pacing, and a function for ventricular
rapid pacing. Both functions become
accessible by entering the main menu
via the softkey labeled
Main Menu,
and then by selecting either
Atrial High-Rate
or
Ventricular Rapid Pacing
via the corresponding softkey.
Table 28 shows the High-Rate Menu.
Note:
Remember to press the key
Unlock/Lock
in case PACE 203H
keypad is locked. In case the lower dis-
play was turned off, it is then turned on.

9.10.1 Atrial High-Rate Standby
The Atrial High-Rate standby is
accessed by pressing the softkey
labeled
Atrial High-Rate
in the High-Rate Menu (Table 28). The
Atrial High-Rate Standby Menu appears
as shown in Table 29. The atrial High-
Rate stimulation is now at standby. The
acoustic indicator is automatically swit-
ched on temporarily, if it is not already
on.
Note
: Within the Atrial High-Rate Stand-
by Menu, the pacemaker continues to
operate in the set mode.
Any previously selected atrial High-Rate
stimulation rate and the corresponding
beat-to-beat interval are displayed.
Note
: After turning on, PACE 203H atrial
High-Rate stimulation rate is set to the
default value 240 ppm, if the device had
been powered off using the softkey
labeled
Off (no storage)
.
If the device had been powered off with
the softkey labeled
Stand-by (store data),
then it will restore the High-Rate which
was set before powering off.
