Scaling Value Teaching
The scaling value teach command can be used only when the timing hold in op-
eration mode A is set to normal.
It is possible to adjust the input scaling values by executing scaling value teach-
ing with the scaling value teach command. The scaling value teach command
uses the following command codes.
•
X1 Scaling Value: C500
•
X2 Scaling Value: C510
Setting Example
In this example, each scaling value is set as shown below. The timing hold is set
to normal, and a 4-to 20-mA input sensor is connected to the Unit to measure
objects.
X1:
0400
X2:
2000
Y1:
0000
Y2:
1000
Due to a sensor positional error, however, 0002 was obtained for the smallest
object of all the objects and 0996 (with 03E4 displayed on the Unit) was obtained
for the largest object of all the objects.
Therefore, using the teaching function, the X1 value needs adjustment for the
smallest object and the X2 value needs adjustment for the largest object.
Operation
For the Smallest Object
1, 2, 3...
1. Adjust the X1 value with the smallest object using the teaching function. The
input word reads 0002, which is the scaled conversion data of the smallest
object measured with the Unit, and the output word reads 0000.

2. Set the scaling value teach command code C500 for the X1 value to the out-
put word. To input the letter C with the Programming Console, press the Shift
and 2 Keys. The input word will be set to the response C500.

3. Set 0000 to the output word. When the input word is set to 0000, which is the
scaled conversion data of the smallest object, the teaching for the X1 value
has been correctly executed.

4. Adjust the X2 value with the largest object next. The input word reads 03E4
converted from 996, which is the scaled conversion data of the largest ob-
ject measured with the Unit, and the output word reads 0000.
