Getting connected
Shortcut for ending GPRS
To end GPRS connection immediately, press
and hold the End key.
GPRS Monitor
This program allows you to monitor GPRS
traf
fi c and cost on an hourly, daily, monthly
and yearly basis.
To monitor GPRS traf fi c:
1. Tap Start > Programs > GPRS
Monitor > Chart .
2. Select an icon to view the details such
as Date, Monthly traf
fi c, Hourly costs and
Hourly traf fi c:
To view the GPRS report:
Tap Start > Programs > GPRS Monitor >
Report tab.
Bluetooth
With Bluetooth capability, devices can
exchange information within a distance of
about 10 meters. Bluetooth is a short-range
wireless communications technology.
Bluetooth settings
To access the Bluetooth setting screen,
tap
Start > Settings > Connections tab >
Bluetooth .
To turn Bluetooth on or off, check/uncheck
the
Turn on Bluetooth option. Alternatively,
tap Wi- fi manager on the screen >
Bluetooth On/Off . The blue LED light on
your device will be turned on.
To make your device visible, check the Make
this device visible to other devices option.
All other Bluetooth devices within range (about
10 meters) can detect your device, whether
or not a bond has been created; however, in
order to receive a beam from another device,
you must accept it on your device.
If you no longer want your device to be
visible, uncheck the
Turn on Bluetooth
option or uncheck the Make this device
discoverable to other devices option to
leave the radio on but not allow detection by
other devices.
Bonds
To exchange information in a secure manner,
you may use a bond to create a relationship
between your O
2
Xda Atom Life and another
Bluetooth device.
To create a Bond:
1. Tap Start > Settings > Connections tab.
2. Tap Bluetooth > Devices tab > Add new
device . Your device searches for other
Bluetooth devices and displays them on
the list.
3. Tap the name of the other device in the
list and then
Next .
4. In Passcode , enter a Passcode of 1 to
16 characters and tap Next .
5. Enter the same Passcode on the other
device.
6. If necessary, in Name , edit the name of
the other device.
7. Tap Finish .
Please note
Make sure that the two devices are
within 10 meters of one another and
that the Bluetooth is in discoverable
mode on both devices.
