Security Menu
The Security Menu contains features that enable you to
restrict access to your computer. The Security menu
contains the following fields.
User Password Is
This read-only field lets you determine whether a User
Password has been set. This field can be either “Clear” or
“Set.” The default is “Clear” (no password has been set).
When both the User Password and Supervisor Password are
enabled, only the Supervisor Password gives you full access
to all Setup fields.
Supervisor Password Is
This read-only field lets you determine whether a
Supervisor Password has been set. This field can be either
“Clear” or “Set.” The default is “Clear” (no password has
been set).
When both the User Password and Supervisor Password are
Enabled, only the Supervisor Password gives you full
access to all Setup fields.
Set User or Supervisor Password
The password fields allow you to enable a user-level
password or supervisor-level password during POST and to
enter Setup.
Use the following procedure to set a password.
1.
Using your arrow keys, select Security from the menu
bar. The Security menu appears.
2.
Select “Set Supervisor Password” or “Set User
Password” with the plus (+) or minus (-) keys.
