Speaker Problems
Check the following problems to see the possible cause and
solution.
No sound from the speakers.
Check that the speaker power is on. Verify that all
speaker cable connections are correct and secure.
Speaker volume is too low.
Adjust the volume control on the speaker. If the volume
is still too low, adjust the volume through the system
software. See your Windows Multimedia online help.
Sound is only coming from one speaker.
Balance the speaker output by adjusting the balance in
the sound software. See your Windows Multimedia
online help.
DIAGNOSTIC DISKETTE
If you are unable to resolve your system’s problem using
the Problem/Solutions topics in this chapter, NECCSD
suggests that you run the QA Plus
®
diagnostic diskette.
The diagnostic diskette permits quick testing of all major
system components, individual testing of different system
components, and access to various testing options.
To run diagnostics, insert the diagnostic diskette into
drive A: with the system unit off. Power on the system. The
system boots from the diskette and provides you with the
test options.
