9-42 Upgrading Your Server
Memory RAS Feature
Your server supports Memory RAS feature (memory mirroring, memory sparing, and memory
LockStep features). For configuration, see "Using the Memory RAS Features" described later.
To use Memory RAS feature, you need to remove the factory-installed DIMMs and install
2GB/4GB/8GB/16GB DIMMs.
Installation
Install a DIMM in the following procedure.
1.
See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.
2.
Remove the left side cover.
3.
Remove a single screw from the duct cover to remove the cover.
4.
Open the levers at the both ends of the socket for the DIMM to be installed.
