9-14 Upgrading Your Server

To use the server with the hard disk drive removed, fill the slot with a dummy tray.

IMPORTANT:



Keep the dummy tray for future use.



The purpose of a dummy tray is to increase the cooling effect in the

server. Install a dummy tray in slots not containing a hard disk

drive.



If a hard disk drive composing RAID (in RAID1 or RAID5) is

removed, the RAID system losts data redundancy. Install a new hard

disk drive as soon as possible.

Close the front mask.
