Installing the Operating System with Express Setup 5-83

LAN Board Driver (N8104-111/112/119/121/125A/126)

Install the driver stored in NEC EXPRESSBUILDER DVD.

Installation of LAN Board Driver

Start Device Manager.

Click [Network adapters] and double-click [(Network Adapter Name)].
[(Network Adapter Name) Properties] appears.

NOTE:

[(Intel(R) PRO/1000...)] is the name of On-Board adapter. All

other names show the Optional Network Board.

Click [Driver] tab and click [Update Driver...].
[Hardware Update Wizard] appears.

Select the [Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)] radio button and click

[Next].

Select the [Search for the best driver in these locations] radio button and uncheck the

[Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...)] check box.

Check the [Include this location in the search] check box and when using [(N8104-111)],

specify [\017\win\winnt\dotnet\r148\pro100\win32\ndis5x].
Then click [Next].
When using [(N8104-112/119/121/125A/126)], specify

[\017\win\winnt\dotnet\r148\pro1000\win32\ndis5x].
Then click [Next].

Click [Finish].

Restart the system.

To install the driver, refer to the installation manual provided with the board and according to the

installation manual, use the driver stored in attached CD-ROM.
