9-68 Upgrading Your Server

Move the jumper pin for optional fan unit on mother board. Connect the two cooling fan
cables (for optional fan unit) to the connectors on mother board.
Take care to connect the cable to the proper connector. Otherwise, NEC ESMPRO will
fail to monitor the server.

Install the duct cover you have removed, and secure it with a screw.
10.
Install the left side cover you have removed.
Removal
The additional fans can be removed in the reverse order of the installation.
Connector for standard fan

When connecting the
optional fan, be sure to
connect the rear cooling fan.
Mother board
Move the jumper pin upward to enable the redundant fan.
