Using the Phone
Overview of Phone
Use GSM Phone to make phone calls, set up speed dials, keep track of calls, and send text messages.
Your wireless service provider may also provide other useful services such as voice mail, Call
Forwarding, and Caller ID.
The integrated phone in your device can also be used to connect your device to an ISP or work network
so you can browse the Web and read e-mail. You can connect to the Internet or work network using a
cellular line.
SIM Card Installation
Before using the HC700-G as a phone, make sure that your HC700-G is equipped with a SIM
(Subscriber Identity Module) card. SIM card is a small smart card that fits inside the HC700-G. The
SIM card holds the personalized information about its user, including the network activation and even
phone book entries.
Before installing the SIM Card, turn off the HC700-G, disconnect the hand strap and remove the
battery.
To install a SIM card, perform the following steps (see Figure 36):
1.
Open the SIM card door.
2.
Slide the SIM card holder forward to unlock the SIM card
3.
Pivot the SIM card holder up.
4.
Slide the new SIM card inside the holder with the cut corner on the upper right side and the gold
plate facing down.
