Configuring the SNMP Agent (1.4)
Menu 1.4 (see Figure 70) enables a user to configure the following SNMP Agent parameter:
SNMP Startup (1.4.1): This parameter determines whether the SNMP interface is accessible to a user.
If the SNMP start-up is “enabled”, the SNMP Agent daemon is started and the SNMP interface is
available. If SNMP start-up is “disabled”, the daemon does not start and SNMP would be unavailable.
Telnet Access Menu (1.5)
Menu 1.5 (see Figure 71) enables a user to configure the access to the following Telnet interfaces:
Admin Port (1.5.1): This parameter defines the TCP listener port for connections to the Telnet
administrative interface. The factory default for this port is 1236.
Debug Port (1.5.2): This parameter defines the TCP listener for connections to the Telnet debug
interface
.
The factory default for this port is 1235.
