A Citizen Band (CB) Radio is installed in the dashboard area of the
motorhome. The type and manufacturer may vary depending on availability.
According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules the radio
is designed for operation on any of 40 designated CB channels.
The following will cover the basic controls of most CB units:
• PRESS TO TALK SWITCH -

used to control the reception and transmission. Press the switch
to transmit. Release it to receive.
• ON/OFF VOLUME CONTROL -

controls the speaker volume.
• SQUELCH CONTROL -
Allows the operator to set the receiver
sensitivity to a position where the noise is inaudible. Strong sig-
nals (above the setting) will be heard.
• CHANNEL DISPLAY -
Where the selected channel is indicated.
• CHANNEL SELECTOR -
This control selects the desired chan-
nel for transmission and reception. All channels except channel 9
may be used for communication including rendering assistance
to motorists.
For information regarding the specific unit installed in the
motorhome please refer to the CB manufacturer’s Owner’s Manual.
The motorhome is equipped with a cell phone antenna. The antenna lead
is located behind the dash instrument cluster. To access the lead remove the
inspection panel located on top of the dash pad. The antenna lead run is
installed from the roof down the driver’s side A-pillar. This is the section
between the drivers’ side window and the windshield. The coiled antenna
lead should be located toward the front firewall, directly behind the instrument
cluster.
The motorhome is equipped with a remote control color television located
above the pilot seat. The outlet for front TV is controlled by the ignition switch
so that the front TV can only be viewed while the vehicle is at rest. The TV
operates from 120 Volt AC power only which can be provided by shore power,
the generator or the inverter. Viewing time of the front TV from the inverter
depends on the state of charge of the house batteries and any additional 12 Volt
DC lighting being used.
