To Authorize the Remote:
NOTE: These instructions are for motorhomes equipped with
“keyless entry” only.
If the remote does not respond it may need to be authorized. When
authorizing a new remote the entry door must be shut. Turn the ignition
key “
on/off
” five times, with the key remaining in the
ON
position, in
the fifth cycle.
• Using the remote, press the lock button. The entry door should lock.
• Press the unlock button. The door should unlock.
• Repeat procedure twice for each remote to be authorized.
• Turning the key “off/on/off” will exit the remote
authorization mode.
NOTE: If the motorhome is factory equipped with an optional
security system, the security system remote will lock and unlock
the entry door when the system is armed or disarmed.
The entry door to the motorhome is adjusted and tested at the factory.
The door is equipped with a Pos-A-Lok latch and an air seal. The Pos-A-
Lok system automatically locks the door in the open position. Operate
the inside or outside handle to release the Pos-A-Lok. The air seal sur-
rounds the inside perimeter of the door frame. When the door is closed
and the ignition is turned on, the air seal is activated inflating to ½ psi.
Wind noise is silenced by providing a positive seal between the door and
door frame.
Adjusting the Pos-A-Lok Cable:
• Completely opening the door will automatically engage the
Pos-A-Lok latch.
• Operate the inside or outside handle to release the latch. If
the latch does not engage or will not release the cable will
require adjusting.
• Observe operation of the Pos-A-Lok latch at the top of the
door using a step ladder or platform. When either handle is
operated the locking finger must clear the cam on the Pos-
A-Lok latch by 1/16”.
• The cable must be adjusted if the clearance is incorrect .
• Remove the inside handle cover to access the cable adjust-
ment clamp located just below the handle.
• Loosen the clamp and slide the cable approximately 1/16”
at a time until the proper clearance is obtained.
